Archives An open letter to Zhang Yi-nan An open letter to Sung Seo Pao. Should we really celebrate christmass?.

So many people today are not obeying God's word and they believe it is OK. Not only is there a great apostasy happening, but an outright defiance of God's laws. Homosexuality, mysticism, greed, idolatry, false teachings -- and this is from within many of the churches today. The secular world is even worse -- with each new day someone somewhere is trying to eradicate God from every society and replace Him with free will, or tolerance and forced acceptance. An estimated one in six people world-wide are Christian; this leaves about 5 billion people who simply have no faith in Jesus Christ our Lord and savior. Jesus was clear -- He is the only way to heaven, no other chance, no other way into heaven but through Him. And God calls them who come to Jesus. So can 5 out of 6 people be wrong? Yet preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ in a muslim country is to literally risk your life. In China, Vietnam and some muslim countries as well, you very likely will end up in jail. What are they afraid of? One billion muslims say that Allah is god. Do the different religions really all worship the same god as the world witnessed soon after September 11, 2001? Can all those religious leaders really be wrong? So many people will simply say that "all those people can not be wrong, you are." To follow the true teachings of Jesus Christ and do God's will today is to be labeled a fundamentalist or intolerant person. Statements like these will begin to grow as more and more people fall away and rely on the 'strength in numbers' argument to support bad doctrine. Here is a truth: Look at Noah. He was a good and righteous man living God's word. For 120 years he worked to build an Ark and for sure he was ridiculed by the locals. He probably told them of the impending destruction but to no avail, they did not want to hear. They did not want to serve God but instead their own lusts. The Bible tells us that this will also happen in the latter days as people with itchy ears will follow soothe sayers that tell them what they want to believe. Noah, and because of his righteousness, he and his family were saved from the flood. Some conservative historians place the population of the world at a few million while others indicate it was several hundred million people -- WHO ALL DIED. They were all killed in the flood and only Noah was saved. Remember Sodom and Gomorrah, only Lot was spared. If even ten righteous people were found God would have spared those cities for their sakes, but He found not ten. So Lot and his family alone were spared. So many people who did not follow God were destroyed. More then likely Lot made attempts to tell the people of their wicked ways and that they should not follow them. Hosea preached to the Jews God's very words: "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." -- this is as true today for Christians as it was for the Jews. Jesus says that many will try to enter heaven but few will, or many are called but few are chosen. He doesn't say multitudes or those whose number is of that of the sands of the beach -- He says few. It really is as simple as black and white, either you are for God or not. To be on God's side means to obey His laws; do His will -- have faith in His son Jesus Christ. The current world population is just over 6 billion people with about 1.3 billion Christians. Assuming that they are not lukewarm, because Revelation is clear on how Jesus feels about being lukewarm, that still only leaves 1 in 6 people going to heaven -- not a lot -- or 5 billion people that would not enter heaven if Jesus were to return today. So you can not rest on the strength in numbers that people will tell you when they defend their foolish doctrine. You need to keep your faith in Jesus, study the word to show oneself approved. So if you converse with anyone who tries to tell you that all those people can not be wrong for (insert false teaching here) then you might want to remind them of Lot and Noah, or Sodom and Gomorrah. Because in those days, all those people were indeed wrong, and they paid a heavy price for being wrong. |
