America has an overwhelming capacity to forgive and forget what her enemies have willed upon her. 1914 - 1918 -- The greatest war the world has known to that date in time. Chemical weapons are used and America sends her young men to fight a war in defense of a land that is not her own. December 7th, 1941 Pearl Harbor. Thousands of Americans are mercilessly slaughtered after Japan had been promising peace for several weeks. August 15, 1945 V-J Day April 9th, 1942 Beginning of Bataan death March April 18th, 1942 -- Doolittle's Raiders bomb Tokoyo June 6th, 1944 D Day Some important dates surrounding WWII where American lives were laid down in defense of nations other then the United States of America. At the end of WWII America immediately began lending assistance to Japan and Germany. While Russia was avenging the death of 20 million people, America was flying emergency airlifts 24 hours a day to keep the Germans, including the Nazi's who just weeks earlier were killing Americans, from starving. America shared it's wealth with those who were determined to kill us and impose their own will upon us. June 25th, 1950 - July 27th 1953 The Korean war is all but forgotten. So many thousands of Americans lost their life on a battlefield half a world away when North Korea and China decided to wage war. America suffered some incredible defeats during Korea and one of the greatest all time strategic retreats took place during the Korean war -- still America pressed on. To save a nation from oppression and ensure they enjoyed freedom. 1957 - 1975 Vietnam. A war that changed our beleaguered nation, and again thousands of Americans lost their life in defense of a land that was not their own, and a people who they never knew. Almost daily America was shown footage where young Americans were killed, defending a land that was not her own. Americans dying in a foreign land in the defense of freedom. Each of those Americans was someone's brother, or father, or mother, or sister, or husband, or friend, or son or daughter. As in most wars, the youth absorb the majority of death based on the median age of the foot soldier alone. Young Americans who might have otherwise gone on to become fathers and husbands, Nobel Peace Prize Laureates, doctors. No parent should ever have to outlive any of their children. Yet Americans consistently volunteer for, and have developed the best fighting force the world has ever known. Is it by chance? American blood has been shed for so long in defense of so many people -- virtually the entire world, that just about every native born American is related to, or knows of a family member who has died in war defending another country. No other nation in the entire world can make that claim. September 11, 2001, another day that will live in infamy, and America still forgives her enemy. 3,000 innocent men, women, and children are ruthlessly murdered by violent Islamist terrorists. America decides to fight the terrorists where they live. The world forgets what America has done for it. Yet America too has forgotten something even more important -- God. God is glorified through His Son Jesus Christ. No law can be higher then God's law yet America forgets who made her great. She stands in defiance of God. God said we are to love one-another. Murder in cold blood is not love, yet Roe v. Wade makes cold blooded murder possible for millions of Americans every year -- in the name of "a woman's right to chose". Name one woman, one person who can decide that a baby should die in the womb of the mother -- lest we make ourselves to be godlike. Can the clay say to the potter, what are you doing? God said that adultery is a sin and in America adultery is a crime in most, if not all states. In the New Covenant, Jesus tells us that to even lust for a woman is committing adultery with her in your heart. Yet in America pornography is legal for anyone over 18. God said that sex outside of marriage is a sin, yet in America two consenting adults are allowed to commit sin every day, including gay couples, who can never be married in the eyes of God. Jesus tells us not to be of this world, in the Gospel of Thomas we read that we should be "as passers by" (Thomas:42). Yet in America, the land of oppurtunity, it is YOUR hard work that gives you rewards, no God in heaven is needed. If you work hard here you will be rewarded. Jesus said not to be desirous of earthly goods, yet in America, all earthly possesions are marketed to hard working Americans, and the world, who deserve to reward themselves for all they do. The truth is that nothing we do of our own accord will get us into heaven. Rewarding ourselves is tantamount to the farmer who after storing his goods to last him months, decided to trust his stores and not work. God proclaims, "you fool, tonight thy life will be required of thee, what good are earthly possesions." So how did all this happen, in the land that proclaims "God bless America"? Our founding fathers were criminals. They violently fought the prevailing government, and then set up a system in which every man could decide his own fate, following Jesus was optional. The United States Constitution does just this, allows for laws to be administered in the land that are higher then God's law, and we know this can not be. We also know that God has consistently stretched forth His hand to those who defy Him. America -- we are in defiance of God's law and God's will. Lot was spared, Sodom was not. The Lord God would have spared Sodom and Gomarroh for the sake of ten righteous souls; only Lot was found to be true. As long as America has existed countless God fearing believers have lived and died here. Their lives dedicated to serving the Lord God in their daily walk. Yet America has strayed, and forgotten who made her great, who her first true love needs to be, God, through true belief in His Son Jesus Christ. Or can we not read for ourselves how God punished Israel every time she turned from God? Nineveh was spared after Jonah spoke God's will. They repented because their king declared that they needed to repent, and repent they did. God spared Nineveh because they heard the word of God, and turned from their sin. American judges and lawmakers need to hear this: repent and turn to Jesus Christ, follow Him and His ways. America has always forgotten what her enemies have down to her. Moreover she has forgotten God, and the devil is standing ready to pounce. And his minions have been working for years through our US Constitution to defy God, deny Him, offend Him, and hold ourselves higher then He. America -- repent -- time is short. May God continue to bless the men and women who serve God by serving in our military and are willing to lay down their life -- "no greater love hath a man then to lay down his life for his friends." May God bless the families of our service members who serve God and are in need. May God bless those who serve Him and pray daily for their loved ones who fight on another foreign land. May God bless all His servants who are in the US armed forces. May the love of Jesus Christ be with you all. Your brother through Christ Jesus Amen
